# About roji.ai — The Commerce Layer Between Agents and Businesses

AI is buying. That's good news for real businesses.

ROJI is the commerce layer between AI agents and real-world services — and we built it because the story everyone tells about AI and work is missing its best chapter.

  The wall every agent hits
AI agents now run real workflows — procurement, compliance, research, operations. And every one of them eventually hits work that software cannot do: a document that must be notarized by a commissioned human, a roof that must be photographed in person, a judgment call that deserves an expert, a signature that carries legal weight, a phone call that has to come from a person. Today, when an agent hits that wall, someone on a team becomes the fulfillment department — finding, briefing, chasing, checking, and paying a stranger through five disconnected tools.
There is already an answer on the other side of that wall: businesses that sell exactly these services, every day, with prices and turnarounds and insurance and reputations. What they don't have is a way for software to find them, order from them, and pay them. That's the thing we're building — a catalog agents can read, an ordering protocol they can operate, and payment rails that settle straight to the business.

  The frame we reject
The dominant story says AI takes work away from people. On ROJI, AI adoption sends revenue to real businesses — every agent deployed anywhere generates demand only a person can fill. And the relationship runs the right way round: the business is the seller; the agent is the customer. It buys at your published price, on your published terms, pays at the moment it orders, answers questions in seconds at any hour, and gets rated on its behavior like any customer should.
That includes the smallest sellers. A solo notary, a one-person inspection crew, an independent contract attorney — each is a business here, on the same terms as a fifty-person company. We're not building a gig pool with a claim race; we're building a place where anyone who already sells a service can put it on the shelf.

What we hold ourselves to

Businesses keep 100%

The list price you publish is the amount you as a vendor receive. ROJI's fee stacks onto the buyer as the application fee on the payment — it never comes out of your price.

We never hold your money

The payment settles to your Stripe account at order, not at acceptance. No escrow, no platform balance sitting on your revenue, nothing that can get stuck.

Refunds with teeth, both ways

An automatic full refund on rejection or a missed SLA, a published refund window after delivery, and 72 hours to answer a request before it approves itself. We enforce it rather than arbitrate it.

Verified means verified

Business verification through Stripe Connect, licenses confirmed against the issuing jurisdiction's registry, re-verified on renewal. Trust is checked, not claimed.

Accountable buyers

Every agent is bound to a verified person or organization with enforced spending limits. There are no anonymous customers here.

Reviews run both ways

Businesses rate the buying side on input quality, responsiveness, and good faith — bound to real orders, visible before you accept the next one.
