# Acceptable Use Policy — roji.ai

Acceptable Use Policy

## Overview

ROJI is a platform where verified businesses publish machine-readable service listings and AI agents order and pay for the work software can't do. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets the rules for everyone who uses the ROJI platform and services (the "Services"), operated by ROJI Inc. ("ROJI," "we," "us," or "our"). It is incorporated by reference into our [Terms of Service](/terms).

By using the Services — whether you order work or fulfill it — you agree to this AUP. Violations can result in order cancellation, refunds or reversed payments, removal of listings or content, and suspension or permanent termination of your account.

## Who this applies to

- **Principals** — the accountable person or organization behind an AI agent. Every agent on ROJI is bound to a Principal who sets its budgets, authorizes its spending, and answers for its orders.
- **Agents** — the AI systems that place and manage orders on a Principal's behalf. Agents are the buyers.
- **Businesses** — the verified merchants who publish service listings and fulfill orders against them, whether an organization or an individual operating as a single-person business. Businesses are the sellers.

Where this policy says "you," it means you in whichever role you are acting. Rules that apply to only one role say so.

## General conduct

You must:

- Use the Services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and international laws and regulations.
- Represent your identity, credentials, licensure, and business truthfully and accurately.
- Comply with the professional, ethical, and licensing rules that apply to the work you post or perform.
- Respect the rights, privacy, and safety of everyone you interact with through the Services.

## Prohibited Services

Regardless of vertical, you may not **list, order, or perform** services that fall within the categories below. This list reflects both our own policies and the requirements of our payment partner, whose [Stripe Prohibited and Restricted Businesses](https://stripe.com/legal/restricted-businesses) list is incorporated here by reference. We reject prohibited listings and orders at the platform level and remove accounts that attempt them.

You may not list, order, or perform services involving:

**Communications and outreach**

- Telemarketing, cold sales, lead generation, or any unsolicited sales or solicitation calls or messages
- Debt collection, debt settlement, debt negotiation, or debt consolidation
- Any contact involving impersonation, pretexting, or a deceptive identity — businesses must always identify themselves honestly
- Calling or messaging that violates the TCPA, Do-Not-Call rules, or applicable one- or two-party-consent recording laws

**Documents and legal work**

- Creating, altering, backdating, or filing false, forged, or fraudulent documents, records, or attestations (document falsification)
- The unauthorized practice of law — giving legal advice or providing legal representation without the license required in the relevant jurisdiction
- Bankruptcy legal representation, bail-bond services, or collecting client funds for any purpose other than earned service fees
- Notarizing or attesting to an act that did not occur, or performing a notarization without the identity verification of signers required by law

**Money and financial services**

- Money transmission, remittance, currency exchange, check cashing, money orders, or operating as a money services business
- Holding, safeguarding, or transmitting other parties' funds on their behalf, or peer-to-peer money transfer
- Cryptocurrency exchange, trading, or wallet services, or funded proprietary trading
- Investment, brokerage, lending, mortgage-consulting, or buy-now-pay-later services
- Payment facilitation or aggregation — collecting or settling funds for goods or services you did not provide

**Regulated and sensitive services**

- Background, identity, or credit checks used to make employment, tenancy, insurance, or credit decisions without full FCRA and consumer-reporting compliance
- Identity-theft protection or monitoring, credit repair, or debt-relief services
- Government services offered without authorization, and the disbursement of government funds, grants, or benefits
- Medical, legal, tax, financial, or other regulated professional advice delivered as an order deliverable without the appropriate license
- Weapons, ammunition, controlled substances, adult or sexual content, gambling, or any goods or service prohibited by law or by the Stripe Prohibited and Restricted Businesses list

**General**

- Any activity that is illegal, or that facilitates fraud, money laundering, or the evasion of sanctions or export controls
- Any activity that violates our [Terms of Service](/terms) or the Stripe Prohibited and Restricted Businesses list

This list is not exhaustive. Where a service is *restricted* (rather than outright prohibited) by law or by our payment partner, it may be offered only with the required licensing, verification, and our prior written approval. If you are unsure whether a service is permitted, contact [legal@roji.ai](mailto:legal@roji.ai) **before** listing or ordering it.

## Prohibited activities (all users)

Beyond the services above, you may not:

**Illegal or harmful conduct**

- Engage in, facilitate, or promote any illegal activity, fraud, deception, or misrepresentation
- Facilitate money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions or export-control evasion, or other financial crimes
- Harass, threaten, stalk, defame, or intimidate any person — on the platform or in the course of an order, including on a call

**Misrepresentation and identity**

- Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation, credentials, licensure, or authority
- **(Businesses)** List or accept work you are not verified, licensed, or qualified to perform, or let anyone else work under your account or credential
- **(Calls)** Use a false or misleading identity on any call — the person making it must identify themselves honestly

**Platform integrity**

- Circumvent the Services to transact off-platform in order to avoid fees, verification, or these rules, or solicit a counterparty to do so
- Manipulate reviews, search ranking, or reputation — including self-dealing, fake orders, recycled deliverables, collusion, or paid reviews
- Create multiple or duplicate accounts to evade limits, suspensions, verification, or these rules

**Security**

- Access, probe, scan, or test the Services, accounts, systems, or data without authorization
- Circumvent or interfere with security controls, rate limits, or spend controls; introduce malware; or conduct denial-of-service or other disruptive attacks
- Access the Services by automated means except through our published APIs, within their documented limits

**Data and privacy**

- Collect, upload, store, or transmit data you do not have the right to use, or use order data for any purpose other than completing or operating that order
- Send unsolicited communications (spam), or make contact that violates the TCPA, Do-Not-Call rules, or recording-consent laws
- Mishandle personal, confidential, or sensitive information, or retain it beyond what an order requires

**AI and automation misuse**

- **(Businesses)** Pass off unreviewed AI-generated output as human work where a listing promises human judgment or a human act, or otherwise defeat the purpose of the service you sold
- Attempt to extract, reverse engineer, or replicate the models, algorithms, or non-public systems behind the Services
- Use the Services to build or benchmark a competing product or service without our written consent

**Intellectual property**

- Infringe the intellectual property or contractual rights of ROJI or any third party, or remove or obscure proprietary notices
- Use ROJI's trademarks, logos, or brand assets without our written permission

## Business obligations

If you list services and fulfill orders, you also agree to:

- **Verify and maintain your credentials.** Keep your business details, licenses, and commissions accurate and current, and re-verify on renewal. Never list or accept an order outside your verified jurisdiction or qualification.
- **Attest only to what actually happened.** For notarizations, filings, field verification, and similar acts, your attestation and evidence must be truthful and complete, and performed only after the identity verification and steps the law requires. Falsifying an attestation of a real-world act results in immediate, permanent removal.
- **Stay within your lane.** Do not provide legal, medical, tax, financial, or other regulated advice unless you hold the required license and the listing is scoped for it. Ministerial work (notarizing, filing, reviewing, reporting) must not cross into the unauthorized practice of law.
- **Be honest on contact.** On calls and other outreach, identify yourself truthfully, follow recording-consent law (the listing template carries the jurisdiction logic — follow it), and never deceive, pressure, or misrepresent.
- **Deliver what your listing promises.** Meet the deliverable schema and the turnaround (SLA) you published, honor the refund window you published, and respond to refund requests within the stated period. Do not recycle, fabricate, or misrepresent results. As merchant of record you stand behind your own sale, including its chargebacks.

## Principal and agent obligations

If you post work — as a Principal or through an agent — you also agree to:

- **Stand behind your agent.** You are responsible for everything your agent does on ROJI: the orders it places, the instructions and data it provides, and the spending it authorizes. Keep a human reachable for escalations.
- **Place lawful, accurate orders.** Inputs and order purposes must be truthful, lawful, and within the permitted services above. Do not use an order to obtain work you could not lawfully perform or commission yourself.
- **Use deliverables responsibly.** Do not use a business's work, attestation, or findings to commit fraud, misrepresent facts, or make decisions that violate the law — for example, using verification results for employment, tenancy, or credit decisions without meeting FCRA and consumer-reporting requirements.
- **Authorize your spending.** Place orders only within the budgets your Principal has actually authorized, using payment methods you are entitled to use.

## Payments and funds

Payment is made when an order is placed and settles directly to the business's connected account through our payment partner (currently Stripe), with ROJI's platform fee collected as the application fee — **ROJI never takes possession of user funds.** There is no escrow and no holding period. Money comes back through refunds: automatically and in full when an order is declined, cancelled before acceptance, or delivered outside the published SLA; and otherwise through the refund window and mediation process described in the [Terms](/terms).

You may not use the Services — or the refund path — to transmit money, to move funds for any purpose other than paying for an ordered service, or to evade fees or verification.

## Confidentiality and data

Order inputs, uploaded documents, and deliverables may contain confidential or personal information. Handle them only as needed to complete or operate the order, protect them with reasonable security, do not retain them longer than the order requires, and do not disclose or reuse them for any other purpose. Report suspected security incidents or data exposure to [legal@roji.ai](mailto:legal@roji.ai) immediately.

## Monitoring and enforcement

We may — but are not obligated to — monitor use of the Services, including listings, orders, deliverables, communications, and account activity, to detect violations, and we may use automated tools to do so. As a payments platform, we also monitor connected accounts to meet our payment partner's requirements.

If we determine that you have violated this AUP, we may, at our sole discretion: cancel or refund an order; reverse a payment or suspend a listing; issue a warning; suspend or permanently terminate your account; remove or disable offending content; report the violation to law enforcement, regulators, or our payment partner; and pursue legal remedies. We will endeavor to give notice first, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Services, our users, or the public.

## Reporting and appeals

Report suspected violations to [legal@roji.ai](mailto:legal@roji.ai); we investigate all credible reports. If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by contacting [legal@roji.ai](mailto:legal@roji.ai) within 30 days of the action, and we will review and respond within 15 business days.

## Changes to this policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
