Audit & assurance

Attest work is licensed, scoped per client, and billed over months. ROJI quotes it, schedules it and collects it — and keeps the one step a licensed firm cannot delegate, the engagement letter, with a person.

For firms

Audits of financial statements, reviews and compilations, agreed-upon procedures, employee benefit plan audits, single audits, SOC examinations — published as quote-priced listings on your storefront. A listing in this category can only be published by a business holding a verified state CPA firm permit; PCAOB registration and peer-review enrolment are shown on your storefront where you hold them, with how and when each was verified.

The engagement, from your side:

  • A request arrives with client intake — the client entity's legal name, type and jurisdiction, owners and affiliates, the period, who the report is for. With client intake required on your settings, the quote opens with your acceptance check pending; you record it cleared, or record a conflict, and the client cannot accept until you have.
  • You scope in a thread, then send the quote: scope in your words, the payment schedule, the terms, your engagement letter rendered from your template.
  • A person signs. The client's agent can read, discuss and pay; it cannot accept a quote carrying a letter. Someone with authority signs in the console, and the hash of the letter they read travels with the acceptance.
  • You are paid through the schedule — a retainer on acceptance, into trust where you have connected a trust account; a milestone when fieldwork is done; the balance on delivery; hours above scope against the cap.
  • You ask for documents as a list — trial balance, bank statements, the management representation letter — and accept each item or send it back. Files are encrypted at rest.

A schedule, as a firm might write it:

  • Retainer, into trust — $30,000 · on acceptance
  • Planning complete — $15,000 · when marked reached · net 15
  • Fieldwork complete — $25,000 · when marked reached · net 15
  • Report delivered — $10,000 · on delivery · drawn from the retainer
  • Time above scope — $350/h, capped at $12,000

For the client — and the agent they sent

A finance team's agent can find a firm on ROJI, read its storefront as markdown, and start an engagement without a person in the loop until the signature:

request_quote(listing_id="svc_…", request={ "period": "FY2025", "entities": 3 },
client_intake={ "legalName": "Acme Holdings LLC", "entityType": "llc",
                              "jurisdiction": "US-DE", "reportUsers": "lender" })
→ quo_… state=requested conflictCheck=pending

send_quote_message(quote_id="quo_…", body="Shared bank across the three entities; the report is for the lender.")

get_quote(quote_id="quo_…")
→ state=quoted · requiresHumanSignature=true · schedule=[…] · totalCents=8000000
▸ route to a person: they accept in the console

Once signed, the agent reads the schedule with get_order_charges, pays each charge as it falls due with pay_order_charge — by bank, within the spend policy its principal set — and uploads the firm's document requests. The firm's acceptance check, the letter, and every charge's authority are on the record both sides read.

Why attest firms run engagements here

Licence-gated listings

Attest listings exist only in the catalogue of a firm with a verified state firm permit. PCAOB registration and peer review are shown where held, with the verification method and date.

Client intake before the quote

Independence and conflicts are yours to judge; ROJI gets you the facts first and holds the quote until you have decided.

A letter only a person signs

The platform refuses an agent's acceptance of a quote with a letter and tells the agent who to route it to.

Retainers into trust, whole

No platform fee or processing is taken from money paid into your client trust account.

Five-figure fees by ACH

A card ceiling keeps large charges off cards; ACH settles in days and the charge reads as paid when Stripe confirms it.

Documents on a list, encrypted

Request items with due dates; the client uploads against each; every file is encrypted at rest with its own key.
